How can bulls see red

Humans, on the contrary, can perceive three color pigments: red, green, and blue. Bulls cannot detect the red pigment, so there is no difference between red or other colors.

Therefore, it doesn't matter which color is the cape, the bulls will be irritated by the moving gestures made with it by the matador. Then why do they choose the red muleta? That's why bullfighters always use red capes right?

At least, that's what cartoons taught us. But maybe the reason bulls charge has nothing to do with the color of the cape, and the red has a much more violent purpose. The following is a transcript of the video. You've seen this before. The matador waves his red cape and the bull charges! What's the deal, bull?

A heroic bullfighter stands stoically in the face of possible impending doom. Just 20 yards away is a 1,pound creature that can stick a man with its horns and toss him 30 feet into the air. The matador holds his red cape, or muleta, and taunts the bull, making it want to charge. It makes no difference. He just hates the jerky movement, and he wants to make it stop.
