So like the quote says, what Winston has chosen to do, will not only result in his death, but also complete destruction of anything he belongs to. It is not something illegal that results in death. It is literally death because every part of the person committing the crime will be annihilated.

It teaches the youth to support Big Brother and the Party and it causes them to believe that their totalitarian government is just and right. The Youth League turns the youth into spies for the government, so that children and youth can hand over even their parent to the government, believing it is the right thing to do for the state and country.

Parsons is nervous about them because soon they could be watching her night and day for any sign of unorthodoxy or betrayal and they could turn her in to the thought police where she would most likely be vaporized.
Her kids were basically one of the biggest threats in her life. A child hero is a child who turns their mother or father or both parents in to the thought police for eavesdropping on them and maybe hearing something that the child might think betrays the party. That is what Winston thought of the situation. This line attracted my attention because its so scary the world in which Winston lives in and how the kids are so heartless and brainwashed that people have to be afraid of them in their society and that kids can just bluntly accuse an adult of a very serious crime like that.
I found this line interesting because in this book it feels like you can never have any secrets, your life is opened up to be seen by the party through the telescreens, big brother is always watching you is very true. The hitler youth movement and the youth league have many things in common. In both situations they take young kids to manipulate and form into their little army, they make them turn their anger towards the enemies of that certain party and they train them to sacrifice everything they have for the party.
